Derek + Kaia

Let me start by saying I’ve known Kaia a very long time!!! So when she reached out with her excitement for planning her wedding & getting engagement photos done I said HECK YES. LET’S DO IT. We both grew up in Western Washington, otherwise known as the PNW, so it just felt right capturing their love up in the mountains. Derek and Kaia met through Kaia’s barista position, as she’d make Derek his morning coffee everyday. Derek admitted to sometimes not even feeling like drinking coffee, but still going in to the store to buy a cup so he could talk to Kaia. Both being super shy about the other person, their love finally blossomed one day, when Derek asked Kaia on a date. Of course she couldn’t resit, and here they are today. More in love than ever, excited to get started on the next chapter of their lives together. I couldn’t stop smiling behind my camera as these two locked eyes and just laughed and giggled, like two teens who snuck out of the house to see each other. I’m so grateful to capture their love, and I’m SOOOO looking forward to their wedding day. I know you guys will be too!!!!!!
