Kaia + Derek’s love story begins in a small coffee shop in Puyallup, WA. Derek came in one day thinking he was just getting a cup of coffee, until he laid eyes on the beautiful blue eye’d blonde barista with the most beautiful smile behind the bar. From that day, Derek came in to that coffee shop every morning to try and shoot his shot, but Kaia, thinking Derek was the most handsome guy she’d ever seen, was shy and avoided him at all cost. She had the biggest crush on him, but wouldn’t gather the courage to actually talk to him for the next few months. Once they finally got to talking, he asked her out on a date, and a year later, they were married at Chateau Lill with the prettiest classic details. Modern touches like their signage placed all over the venue, and Kaia’s earrings and jewelry were the perfect finishing touches on the day. Alongside their one of a kind arch that radiated romance as Derek saw his Bride for the first time when she strutted down the aisle to him. Derek welcomed Kaia’s son with open arms, and the three of them make the perfect little family. Their vows were personal, and so touching, everyone in the room could feel their love. And although the rain came pouring down like a classic September day in Washington State, these two still kept smiles on their faces as we walked around the venue showing off their wedding day fashion.
