If there’s one thing I’ll never get over, it’s documenting love that feels completely, unapologetically itself.
This summer wedding at The Water Oasis in Oregon was exactly that — effortless, emotional, joy-filled, and so deeply rooted in authenticity. A stunning LGBTQ+ celebration between two brides who fully embraced every moment, every laugh, every tear, and every bit of magic their day had to offer.
And honestly? These are the kinds of weddings that stay with you.
A Romantic Oregon Summer Wedding Full of Heart
Set against the natural beauty of Oregon, The Water Oasis created the dreamiest backdrop for this lesbian wedding. Think warm summer air, glowing light reflecting off the water, and that soft, golden haze that makes everything feel a little more cinematic.
From the second I arrived, the energy was unmatched — calm, excited, and so full of love. No pressure, no pretending… just two people getting married exactly the way they wanted to.
Getting Ready: Soft, Emotional, and So Intentional
Both brides spent the morning surrounded by their favorite people — laughter echoing through the space, music playing, champagne popping. The kind of energy where you can feel how loved they are.
There’s something especially powerful about photographing LGBTQ+ weddings — the layers of meaning, the chosen family, the quiet “we made it here” moments. And this morning was full of that.
A Ceremony That Felt Like Them
Their ceremony took place outdoors, with the water behind them and the sun shining down in that perfect Oregon summer way.
There wasn’t a dry eye.
Their vows were raw, emotional, and real — the kind that makes you forget you’re working because you’re fully in it with them. It wasn’t about tradition. It wasn’t about expectations.
It was about them.
And that’s what made it unforgettable.
Portraits at The Water Oasis: Effortless & Cinematic
After the ceremony, we explored the grounds of The Water Oasis for portraits — and let me just say… this place is a DREAM for wedding photography.
The way the light hits the water, the open space, the natural textures — it all comes together in a way that feels both elevated and completely organic.
No stiff posing. No forced moments.
Just movement, connection, laughter, and those in-between seconds that end up meaning the most.
A Joy-Filled Reception Under the Summer Sky
As the sun dipped lower, the celebration kicked into full party mode — and this crowd did NOT hold back.
Dancing, hugs, champagne sprays, and the kind of energy that makes you wish the night would never end.
This is what I always tell my couples: the best photos happen when you’re fully present. And these two? They lived every second.
Why LGBTQ+ Weddings Like This Matter
Being trusted to document a lesbian wedding like this is something I don’t take lightly.
These aren’t just weddings — they’re stories of love, resilience, and choosing each other fully and freely.
And as a wedding photographer, capturing LGBTQ+ love stories in a way that feels honest, elevated, and true is at the core of what I do.
